My name is Ivan and I participated in Class 36 of the Educational Work Program in 2019. I never imagined how important this project would be in my life. I was never the best student in school and had no prospects for the future. However, Uirapuru transformed me. It was Uirapuru that taught me to have the discipline to pass college and gave me the opportunity to enter the job market. I am very grateful to Uirapuru, because it not only prepared me for the job market, but also for life.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Registration

Filling out the online registration form (done through our WhatsApp), confirming that the young person meets the age and education requirements.

Virtual Presentation

Participation in a mandatory online presentation/interview, where the course will be explained, the content covered, and the expectations regarding the commitment and participation of the selected young people.

Test

Taking a general knowledge test, which aims to assess the candidates’ skills and understand their motivations for participating in the course.

Announcement of Results

The announcement of those approved in the selection process is made through the Uirapuru Project’s social networks, mainly on Instagram. Approved candidates will also receive guidance on the start of classes and the next steps to be taken via WhatsApp.

PARTICIPATION CRITERIA

  • To be between 16 and 19 years old.

  • To be enrolled in or have completed studies at a public school.

  • Availability to attend classes from Monday to Friday, for 5 months, at the set times (morning: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or afternoon: 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.).

  • Mandatory attendance of the virtual presentation that will explain how the course works.

  • Have the desire and need to work as an apprentice.
